Driving Environmental Impact: How WATR’s Data will help Team AIUIa Protect the Waters It Races on
Innovation meets responsibility as Team AIUIa renews its partnership with WATR, an emerging leader in water quality monitoring, bringing real-time environmental intelligence to the forefront of electric marine racing.
WATR is transforming how water ecosystems are understood and protected. Its floating, low-cost monitoring system is designed for simple deployment and can operate effectively even in deep water environments. By delivering real-time data directly to desktop dashboards and mobile devices, WATR provides instant visibility into critical water conditions, enabling faster, smarter decision-making.

Relaunching for the 2026 season, the continued collaboration will see WATR’s technology deployed across E1 Series race locations worldwide including Lake Como, Miami and new for 2026 - Luanda, Angola. At each event, the system will capture live data before and after race activity, helping to assess overall water health and identify any environmental changes.

The platform measures a comprehensive range of environmental indicators, including pH (acidity), turbidity, dissolved oxygen, salinity, freshwater conductivity, ammonia and ammonium levels, potassium, and depth. Together, these metrics create a detailed, real-time picture of aquatic conditions, offering valuable insight into how racing interacts with marine ecosystems.

The data-driven approach enables Team AIUIa to better understand its environmental footprint and take informed, targeted steps to minimise impact. It aligns closely with the team’s 2026 sustainability strategy, built on the principle of ‘data powered by impact.’ By combining advanced monitoring technology with a clear environmental mission, the collaboration demonstrates that innovation can - and should - drive real, measurable change.
